Hi
My research group are considering getting a HP1050 to do general lipid class separation on. I was wondering whether this system is compatible with the use of mobile phase consisting of hexane: propanol: acetic acid (1000:5:1 v/v).
Could anybody help?
Aman

You may need special seals. Check with Agilent (the successor to HP).

Sizewise, the 1050 pump uses the same seals and pistons as the 1100 and 1200, so whatever fits those, will fit 1050.

Beat me to it, CPG.

aman, for your application, I believe you'll want to buy the polyethylene seals, which should be part number 0905-1420.
