Hello virtual colleagues, I work in the pharmaceutical industry and my company is interested in purchasing a Mass Spec Detector. We are looking for a signal quad that is compatible with the Agilent 1100 HPLC. We intend to purchase just the MSD at this point and run it with one of our current HPLC. I have gotten a quote from Agilent for a 6130 with a multimode source but the powers that be want to investigate the refurbished market. I have found an Agilent LC/MSD SL G1956B (I believe I would also have to purchase a vacuum pump for this model) for approximately half the price of the 6130. I have very little experience with MS and am looking for a comparison of the two. Thank you all inadvance for your help.
