what are the advantages of quartz over tradtional

Modern deactivations are very good, and there are specific deactivations for various analyte types. There isn't usually enough difference in preformance to justify the additional expense of quartz liners for most applications. The quartz is more inert than untreated glass, but a good deactivated liner can be as inert.
