Hello, everyone!

I am running alpha amylase treated dextrins (mixtures of simple sugars and oligosacchrides) on Superdex 30, but now have severe tailing problems with my samples.

When I run the standards, e.g. glcose, there is no tailing.
but when I ran dextrins, the tailing become very long. even i reduced the injection volume, still the tailing is there.

I used 0,05M NaCl in water as eluent.

Anyone has any idea please kindly help me.

Are you seeing tailing that extends past the total permeation time? If not, you may just have a skewed molecular size distribution.
