why it is not good for quantification?

SPME is often used for quantitative work.
SPME doesn't represent the "real fingerprint" of analytes external to the fiber. In other words the adsorption from liquid (or gas) to the fiber is regulated by the relative partition equilibrium. This means that if you need quantitation, multiple calibration level are needs and also different internal standard must be introduced according to the classes of compound present into the sample.why it is not good for quantification?
