Hello,
Does anyone know the cable configuration for the interface between 6890 and 5972. The connectors are different; hoping to make it work.
Thanks

The use of the 5972 with a 6890 is not supported. If you put the 2972 next to the 6890 you will see the transfer line length is not correct. The 5972 was repackaged for use with the 6890 until the 5973 came out, if my memory is correct it was called the 6890 MSD. The instrument had a shorter transfer line with the proper connector, and some firmware changes. Even if you change the connector I don't think ChemStation will support this configuration.

Thanks for the response. Actually it is supported. I just don't have the right transfer line but if I knew the configuration, I would make it work.
