Hi all,

In a TIC chromatogram, do they draw according to main ions or the average of all ions?

Thanks

I think in the TIC chromatogram, the peaks are the sums of all ion intensities across the scan range.

Exactly. TIC means Total Ion Chromatogram/Current, and is the sum (not average!) of abundances of all ions recorded in the current scan (i.e. spectrum).
The chromatogram displaying only the main ion (if by that you mean the most abundant one in the current scan, i.e. base ion) is BPC (Base Peak Chromatogram).

Thank you both for the answers.
