Restoring Projects from Empower 2 to Empower 3

Hi,

We've just upgraded to empower 3 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit from empower 2 on XP 32-bit. I created a backup of our projects on the empower 2 machine (which completed successfully) and am now trying to restore them in Empower 3. However, I'm running into an issue where it can import all of the files fine, but after that it asks if I would like to convert them to a newer version. Pretty much as soon as I click yes, Empower 3 locks up and has to be hard-quit and restarted. Any suggestions?

So far they have just asked me to increase my pagefile size to 6000. Still didn't work.

Now they are having me back up just one project off of empower 2 instead of all of them and try and restore that.

Are all the language settings the same and set to english?

did you run the "verify files" from the empower program menu (run as admin).
Is the installation ok

Hi kchilders,

what versions of Empower do you have exacetly?

I know thetre where some (now fixed issues) when importing backups from
Empower2 FR5 SR G
to
Empower3 before <SR2!

But WATERS should know this, check the release notes of the "older" Emp3 releases...
