Hi everyone,

We have a Agilent 6890/5973N GC-MS that needs servicing and MS source cleaning. Are thee any service techs or companies that can do this in the Chicago area? We would prefer to have someone come onsite or we can take the system to them in person.

If it just needs a source cleaning that's something you can do on your own. I've seen people reassemble the source with the spacer in front of the drawout plate and the instrument still ran. As long as you don't jam it back in full of alumina you should be fine.
