preparative GPC of small molecules

Hello Chromatography Experts,

Would any of you care to comment about the potential feasibility of separating 10 g of a MW = ca. 500 small molecule from 1 kilogram of a MW = ca. 250 small molecule, by large-scale preparative GPC? I am willing to build a GPC column containing 100s of kg of nano-porous styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer micro-beads, if the stationary phase can be obtained at reasonable cost.

Thanks!

Andrei

Not sure if GPC is the only way or even the best way to do a preparative separation of two molecules. There may be multiple ways to go about it.

Contact me for further discussion.

Further reading suggests Biorad's cross-linked polystyrene Bio-Beads S-X8 or S-X12 might be appropriate for this kind of separation. If you are knowledgable about preparative GPC using either of these resins, then I would love to correspond with you.

Thanks!
