DIONEX GP50 PUMP PROBLEM

Hi at all
I've a Dionex Gp-50 pump connected with ecd and ms with some communication problem. Often the pump doesn't send start signal to AS due to comm problem. The error reported in chromeleon is

[Warning] 4:16:11 PM -1.729 {Pump} Delay of up to 7 seconds in executing command(s) (0x4d ). This will probably affect results.
[Message] 4:16:16 PM -1.653 {Pump} Error receiving status:
System Error: DxLanDriver is not responding.
[Next Command] __:__:__ 0.000 Wait MS.Ready


any ideas?

Hi,
You don't give much information about the communication used. I assume it is an Ethernet LAN.
1. I you have the intrument communication on the office LAN, I would separate them: put in an extra LAN card in the computer and connect all instruments to this local LAN.
2. I you have a hub or old switch, I would check to use another (new & fast) Ethernet switch.

the communication is ethernet (done with BNC connector). The corporate LAN is separated on another lan card
I'll try with another bnc hub if I have any (they are rare....)
