acceptable TI level, modifying ChemStation menu buttons

I have two NB questions:

1. what is a typical acceptable level of Total Ion current for a 60m, 0.25 DB-5 column (or similar) held for 10 mins at 250oC (He)? 10,000 counts? 100,000? less? more?

2. is there a way to move some often-used drop-down menu buttons in ChemStation, such as Search NIST or AMDIS, to the menu bar, to make them simply clickable?

1. On the lower end of things, the signal/noise ratio should be greater than 3 (if you an see a peak then mostly likely that is good enough when identification is the only thing needed). On the upper end, I do not like to go above 5e7 on my instrument; as the detector starts being swamped.

2. Never tried.

Hope this helps
