Frequency of pump priming?

Hello --
I am operating a binary pump HPLC system. One mobile phase is water, the other is methanol. If the pumps are initially primed and used during the day, then turned off at night, what is the recommended frequency of priming? Do I need to prime every morning I turn the HPLC back on, or only after extended periods of time (<24 hours) or I have removed the solvent line from the mobile phase reservoir? I'm guessing they will need to be primed every morning, but just wondering what others think.
Thanks for the tip!
