Hello there,

I should have posted this topic here but here goes...

Just wondering if anyone knows about software that can read file.BNC format files. We have an older HP5890 GC interfaced to an older integrator HP-3396 and have a shareware program that we store our GC-FID files on. It is nice to have the stored files but very clumsey to reprocess them. The files are stored as .BNC. Any help or suggestion are most welcome. Timothy

Hello Tima,

I ran a google search on the .bnc extension and the only information I was able to find refers to a program called the bojanov encrypter. It basically encrypts the file name and data. I'm not sure if this really applies to the output of the HP3396.

I can supply the web address if desired, but again, I don't know if it is relevant.

Bill

Thanks Bill,

I am going to try my files on Galaxie (Varian) tomorrow and see if this works. Googled BNC as you suggested and found the same information.

Timothy

Hello Tima,

Galaxie do not open such files. Galaxie can open AIA files but not HP3396 BNC files. I don't know any software that can import this data, sorry.

Best regards
