Connecting Manual Injector to Agilent 1100 with Autosampler

HI Everyone,
I would like to have your expertise on connecting the Manual injector to the Agilent HPLC 1100 system.
How would I be able to make the inector functional in the method (as there is a well auto sampler already connected).
Please help me in this regard,

1100s use one address in Configuration Editor to communicate with all modules. I believe you'll need to remove the LAN cable to your automatic sampler and plug in the leads from your manual injector.
If yours has GPIB connections, then do similar by removing the remote cable and GPIB from your autosampler.

Hi Thanks for your advice but there is a small confusion.
There are two LAn cables in the autosamples. One coming from the Pump and the other one going to out.
Which one should be detached, The plug coming from the manual injector has been put into the slot in the Autosamples, although there are slots for the same in the Column unit as well as the detector too. Which would be the best one to connect, I hope it is the autosampler one.
Does it need some software configuration too.
Please reply soon and I will be really thankful.

Instead of removing and unplugging Lan cables and reconfiguring the system, why not put the manual injector inline with the autosampler and use it at will whenever you need it. Does your manual injector come with a 9 pin adapter, if so that goes into the back of the pump...yes it will make your runs a little longer by introducing a larger delay volume; but it's alot easier to work with and it's ready when you are.

LAN cables are like in series from one module to another, doesn't matter what order, as long as each working module is in-line to the module which the LAN-like cable from the computer CPU goes to (usually a detector). So if you make the autosampler the "end" module, then you can just disconnect its LAN cable.
