Agilent G1367C "Initializing, Door Open" Not Ready Loop

We recently had to get our autosampler replaced for a "metering device not found" error. When the autosampler was returned after the bench repair it developed a new problem with the autosampler failing to complete its initialization because it flags the front door as being open. The front door is shut, has all parts present and nothing looks bent or otherwise out of place.
The door will lock when shut and cannot be opened without a power cycle but the "door open" condition persists in all related software.
I have tried moving the LAN connection card to other modules, cleaning the door sensor as best I can and flipping the magnet in the front door around.
It did appear the box had been repacked and the autosampler potentially damaged during shipping (the peristaltic pump for the needle wash was askew) so it is possible the boards are damaged. I have already been unable to run for a week and do not want to be further delayed waiting on a replacement autosampler. If anyone knows of some tricks to bypass the door sensor on an Agilent autosampler I'd very much appreciate it.

Hi Kadams,

Although this is a temporary solution (and I'm not sure if it will work for your device) my lab tapes the sensor/detector on our autosampler door so that we can access it at any time. This may work for your temporarily so that you can shoot some samples, but I would contact the manufacturer/repair-specialist that performed your repairs. They should have performed a performance test that would indicate if any problems occurred prior to them sending it back to you.

But for the tape, I have a Shimadzu SIL-10A and their is a little flange that comes off the door, and where this meets the autosampler (when closed) is where I put the tape. I literally just cover the place where the flange intercepts and I have had no issues with the auto-sampler door errors.

I hope that this can be applied to your set-up.
