I just heard that Prizer is closing the St. Louis Site. Most everyone is leaving Pfizer. That really hurts a lot of people. The were doing good work there.

Monsanto (original site builder) is buying it back from Pfizer. I wonder how much $ Pfizer will make on that deal...

I also wonder if anyone there will have a full set of:
Monsanto, Solutia, Pharmacia, Pfizer, Monsanto business cards spanning 20+ years once is all said and done (bonus point if there's a Searle card in the set).
Thanks,
DR

Well,

In my neck of the woods a refinery is being shuttered with the corresponding loss of jobs. In my neck of the woods, those were really good jobs. It is interesting to me that the number of refineries in the US is still shrinking.

Best regards.

Will the last chemist to leave St. Louis please shut down the reactors.
