Hello everyone-

If you've read my previous posts below, you'd maybe remember that I had a problem with my 5890:

Image

Oven temp sensor, detector temp sensor, injector temp sensor - none of these seemed to work. It was suggested that it was a main board problem so I found a used one online and replaced it.

NOW...

This comes up after running through the self test.

I'm not getting the funny temperature reading (824 C), but none of the zones are heating up - oven's not coming on, etc. Would this be a sensor issue, or do I have a bad board?

I know I was warned about purchasing a used main board, but I'll take the risk.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

John

According to me, it's not possible that all the sensors are broken, so probably it's the mainboard.

maybe these guys can help. maybe they will let you swap parts back and forth until you find the problem.

of course, maybe they won't, I don't know, but it never hurts to ask.

It could still be the oven sensor. Sometimes new parts are DOA. I would definitely give it another try.

Just check what the oven max is set at, if you have put in a replacement main board it could be at any arbitrary value, and if it is more than 20 deg below room temp all the heaters will shut down as soon as you switch on.

I agree with "coffee bean" I would say its the board as a last resort. A symptom of this nature would lead me to believe the termalcouple wire could have a break in the line.
