Disappearing posts

Has anyone else had this problem or is it me?

I just spend ages typing in a reply to a post and when I pressed submit it disappeared into the ether never to be seen again. Very frustrating and this happened to me before. I thought it just took a while to appear but days later nothing.

Haven't had this problem so far, maybe some problems with your connection?

Recently, there were some very slow reactions, even with the statement coming that the page can not be found, or something like that. The posts were accepted anyway. Nevertheless, I have started to copy some of the longer contributions. . . . .

Maybe it was because I didn't "preview" the message and just went directly to "submit". this will test that.

Maybe it was the length of the message. I will follow your lead, HW, and use CTRL-C before I submit.

Like HB, I copy my message into Word if it's going to be more than just a few sentences. Occasionally it just takes a long time and "times out" so that way I can just copy the response back in and submit later. I'm not very good at computers, and it doesn't seem to matter whether I go directly to Submit or Preview; some days you're the bug, and some days you're the windshield.....

I've had the problem occasionally since we moved to the new ISP late last year, but it's always been when logged in at home, and I have the same problem there with other sites. Unfortunately, it's hard to troubleshoot until you can establish a consistent failure mode. If the problem persists, e-mail me and I'll check into it further.
