Hello all,
Running HP ChemStation, revision A.06.01, with a HP 5890 GC and HP7673 ALS.

Here's the run down: After a sucessful automatic sequence run I was looking through some data, and decided I could stand to re-shoot a couple of my internal standards. When I went to run a partial sequence the program returned the error message:

"Method AUTOBPA in sequence table does not appear in the method directory"

I recieve this message if I attempt to run a partial sequence, edit my sequence table, or simple run the full seqence. This is especially bothersome since literally five minuts before the error message I was running this method. Not to mention the method appears when I give the command load method AND I can edit the entire method without issue.

I'll add that the method is saved on the company server, not the PC, but this has never caused isssue with ChemStation's access to the method.

I've restarted the computer and the program and recieve the same message. Anyone else run into this? I think my next step will be a re-install and I'll share the results. Thanks everyone.

I'd copy all the Method.M directories to C:\HPCHEM\1\METHODS\ and use that path.

You will see this with chemstation if the methods in your sequence table are in a different directory to the method currently loaded i.e. you have loaded a method to process your data from a different directory to the methods used in your sequence table.

Try reloading one of the methods in your sequence table before opening the sequnce for editing.

Thanks for the replies all,

Turns out our company forgot to let us know that they had revamped our network, thus requiring re-authentification of our workstation. Now that that's been done we're moving along swimmingly.

Thanks again all.
