HP 5989A Column Tool Question

Does anyone have an HP5989A that could give me the measurement from the ferrule seat to the end of the column. I just bought a used 5989 and SURPRISE, no column installation tool. Agilent (of course their proud) want's $1300 for the tool. I can mark and set a bunch of columns for $1300 if only I knew the measurement.... Thanks in advance
