Column characteristic

Hello,

I am looking for a RP preparative column to seperate medium sized organic compounds (600 - 700 g/mol in molecular weight) which are quite aromatic and all have a positive charge.
What charactersitic of the column should I look out for. Currently I have three from Macherey Nagel all from the model NUCLEODUR C18 (specific names are Isis, Gravity and HTec) (size 250/21)
Which one would fit best? And at the given size, what would you say is the maximum loading capacity of the the column?

There is nothing on the market better than mixed-mode columns for prep separations. MM column have 5-50 times higher capacity than any RP column. You can move peaks around by changing conditions and very often can change order of elution for compounds. In most of the cases you can use analytical column (4.6 mm) instead of 10 mm or even 21.2 mm column.
