SURVEYOR pda from THERMO

Hello Everybody

The SURVEYOR PDA from THERMO salesperson claims 5 times more sensitive than other PDA available. before buying SURVEYOR system can any body share the views about SURVEYOR PDA sensitivity & opeinion about SURVEYOR HPLC system .

Another department has one. It worked great for a year, then wouldn't pass calibration for love or money. Some problem w/ a coating on the inside of the flow cell. My dept. ended up buying an Agilent. Shimadzu also has a good PDA these days.

We have 10 Surveoyrs PDA in our department, the higher sensitivity id due to 50mm flow cell vs. 10 mm in reguler instruments with the low noise - as a result you have 5 fold sensitive detector. From other side the "unic' flow cell deteriorates easely and you need to replace it with the new one if it doesn't pass the calibration.

Hi Sanjay , Surveyor with PDA detector is good, we have 3 HPLCs in my lab and very satisfied with the performance.
