I did make sure to at least swap out the column for one that we do not use for any routine work. TFA has not gone into our most usual column.
So, if I experience any such suppression in our next negative-ion method, is there anything specific I should be focusing on in cleaning? Are there particular solvents or reagents I can put through the HPLC and MS systems to get rid of TFA, or specific types of cleaning that will help? This is new territory for me.
