Purine compound stability in solution

Hi,

I am trying to increase solution stability of one of the purine compound in 0.1% formic acid. This compound creates a degradation product due to the oxidation ( i believe based on forcedegs). I am trying to find if there are any anti oxidants to add to the solution to stabilize this compound. I tried ascorbic acid but this is interfering with one of the impurity.

wavelength: 260nm
mobilephase: methanol and 0.1% formicacid gradient

Any ideas will be greatly helpful.

Thanks

Thank you Tom. I am planning to try sodium metabisulfite. I have not tried yet.
