i have many membrane filter disks but i am really confuse or in other word i don't know for what purpose for example to come in different disk with same 0.2micro m ,,,,

what is the most important thing in the filter membrane?

i really want to understand the compostion of filter membrane ?

is the filter membrane disk 0.2 micro m , same as filter membrane 0.2 micro m but not in a disk , why we use disk ?

thanks in advance

Membrane filters come in a wide variety of membrane types for example PTFE, Nylon, PVDF etc and (usually) in 0.2 or 0.45 µm pore sizes.

Selection should be made based on the degree of filtration needed and the composition of solution being filtered.

Also check the websites of Pall gelman and Millipore for further information on membrane selection
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

i thank you very much JGK for this information
