Old, good analyzers donated to our college.Need help in connecting 7673 AS (B) via Controller mod. 18594B to a 5890GC. Have even tried hp-6890 AS (G1513A),via remote controller cable ,controller G1512A.Chemstation is version A.10.01. Chemstation will start the GC, but it does not communicate with the AS. Currenting, pushing Start on AS, then Start on computer for analysis. Thank you.

I'm assuming that you have an HPIB or GPIB cable piggy-backed to the control box from the HPIB or GPIB cable on either the computer or the GC (if not, do this).
Did you close out ChemStation, then go into Configuration Editor to ensure that the autosampler module is listed? For 5890 GCs, each module must be listed. I believe the GC itself is code 15, and the autosampler code is 8 by default (but these can be changed with dipswitches if someone really wants to, not likely).
Disclaimer: I only use chemstation up to A.09, about 15 total GC and HPLC.
