Hi. I found a paper on characterization of SVOC of tire rubber using GCMS - they use solvent that will not solvating the tire to extract the SVOC (1:1 acetone: hexane). But NBR gloves consist of different types of polymer from tire. My purpose is to find solvent for extraction of SVOC from NBR gloves and proceed for determination using GCMS. May I know if solvent mixture 1:1 (IPA:hexane) will not solvating NBR gloves and suitable for the extraction SVOC ?

You want to extract the SVOC without solvating the rubber, right? So if 1:1 Acetone:Hexane does not dissolve the NBR gloves then problem solved?

Yes. Means I'll need to do try and error first ? If its still cause solvation, what are the criteria of solvent that I should use ?
