7673 Controller -- Compatible with 7673A ALS?

I have an old 5890 system that I'm trying to get up and running with Galaxie software. Our autosampler is an 7673A autosampler and we have the 7673A controller box. I am needing to replace the controller and communication boards to the RS-232 type and the cheapest option I've found so far is simply buying a used controller box on eBay. It says that it is a 7673 Controller box and the one we currently have specifies that it is a 7673A controller box. If we purchase the 7673 Controller box, will it be compatible with our 7673A autosampler?

One of our HP 5890 series II GCs has a 6890 autosampler tower which is controlled by the original 7673 control box which came with the instrument. The tower was upgraded/replaced before I arrived at this position so I don't know if there were any adjustments to the controller but I believe that there were not.
