I am working on a CP3800 varian GC with a saturn 2000 MS.
Does anybody know how I would do manual injection on this system. It uses an autosampler, but due to small sample volumes, I would like to manually inject my samples.
Thanks Aman

In the method configuration set autosampler to none. You can then run a sequence in the normal fashion but the instrument will only start when you press start or, more likely, when you do your injection and start the run via the micro-switch on the inlet.

It depends which autosampler you have... If it's the 8400 or 8410, in your method, under sample delivery, set the autosampler status to none. If you have an 8200 autosampler, in your 2000 MS control window, go up to the configuration tab and pull the 8200 icon down to the available module window (brings it offline). When you want to return to automation, pull the 8200 icon back up as an available module and be sure to put it in the autostart box. Good luck!
