H2S on a wax type column

Does anyone have any experience running H2S on a wax type phase? Quality of the separation, degradation of the H2S, relative retention?

It has intriguing possibilities but I don't wish to re-invent the wheel if someone has done it and tells me not to.

Hi Matthew,

The PEG phase has a basic character as well as an acidic character. This basic character will cause a loss of H2S at low levels and is not the recommended phase for trace or low level H2S analysis. It is preferred to use a FFAP or similar acidic phase or a thick film methyl silicone phase to analyze samples containing H2S.
