Does anyone know how to use Empower software to calculate peak width at half height of a chromatographic peak? Please advise.

For Empower 2 (and, I think - build 1154 as well) -
It's built in. If all you need is to see it, right click on a table heading in "Review", select "Table Properties" and uncheck "Width @50%".

If you need to add this as a column in a report, it's under "Sys. Suit. Peak".
Thanks,
DR

assuming you have bought the Sys suit pack...

I did uncheck the "peak@50%" box (and other likes peak@10%, etc) and the column did appear. However, only the area, start and stop time, etc appeared but nothing under peak@50% (or others). Any idea please.

Did you enabled your system suitability option in the sys suit tab in your processing method?

Ace, it works. Many thanks. BTW, do you have any software manuals for Empower software 'cos Waters does not provide any to us?

Hubert

There is the fairely extensive help, but besides that you can buy some different manuals about the different topics: acquisition, custom fields, ...

Most of the things are in the help, and if not, just ask here
