CLENPROPEROL

Hi, this is my first post in this forum and I wonder if you can help me.

I’m trying to analize clenproperol in residues of biological samples by using GC/MS/MS but I haven’t found any information about this technique for it.
A colleague of mine recommended me to use MSTFA (activated with ethanethiol and ammonium iodide) as a derivatization reagent instead of BSTFA.

Anybody has any experience about this?.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Try a google search on clenproperol. I found an GC-MS-MS method in the first page of hits.

MaryCarson:

Sorry, but I haven't found it in free access pages.
Thank you.

Clenproperol is very similar to clenbuterol so any technique for the latter should work for the former. Some time ago there was a disccussion about clenbuterol in this forum; I suggest you take a look at it for futher information. MSTFA derivatitation will work but if you are interested just in clenproperol I think the DMS derivative cited in the thread I mentioned before should be the best option.

Hope it helps.
