Besides WIN 3.11, what OS could be used with a 5971 MSD?

Also, 1034C is installed, Rev. 3.00. Is it possible to upgrade from this version of Chemstation?
Smart Card one is installed.

Thank you.

The issue isn't your mass-spec but your interface cards. We have both 5971's and 5972's on G1701BA (Environmental Chemstation) running Windows XP. As I recall (it's been a few years) we upgraded to a Smart Card II on the mass-spec, and needed a HPIB card in the GC.

Thanks very much.
I do have a smart card II that can be installed in the MS.
The GC would need a different card than currently installed? 5890 series II.
Now to find a computer and card also.

If the GC has HPIB control it should be fine. If it's INET, then you need a new board for the GC. Most of the used equipment vendors can sell you the correct HPIB boards.
