am trying to find some pyrophosphoric acid (>95%) from a supplier other than Riedel-de Haen. CAS #: 2466-09-3

the reason for this is that the "de-Haen" material (500 g qty) comes to us in "blocks" in the bottom of the plastic bottle and it is very painful to work with.

tnx

mtnshawn,

I'm not aware of other sources of the acid but you have two options to get around this problem: melt the acid (it's supposed to melt around 61°C) or use the sodium salt as this is available as a fine powder from several sources including Aldrich and Fluka.
