Why we are useing RI detecter as a universal detectors?
what type of theme is thare
RI detectors are find out any compounds in universal
why not UV
why we are useing RI detecter as a universal detecter, every compound in universal different RI .
why not find out all compounds by UV detecter.

UV detection requires the analyte to have a chromophore. Not all molecules have this. RI works on the principle that any dissolved material will alter the refractive index of a solvent so the major requirement is that its dissolved.

Some people are going to evaporative light scattering detection to combat some of the issues with RI.
