				Hi All
I was wondering if any one can explain a bit more about the Agilent 6890N GC Auxiliary Channels?
I am yet to have a good understanding of this aspect of the Agilent system and the manual has limited information.
Thanks

				Jana,
The auxillary channels on the 6890N allow you to have upto two heated zones and 3 channels of pressure control.
The 6890 has as standard 6 heated zones plus the oven. These heated zones are two inlets, two detectors and the two auxillary heaters. The auxillary heaters are typically used for controlling such things has heated valves and a heated transfer line for mass spec use. If you have a flame photometric detector installed, this would also use an auxillary heater plus a standard detector heater.
To have the three channels of pressure control, you would need to have the 3 pressure channel controller installed in the 6890. This was usually ordered as an option 301 or can be added at a later date as an accessory kit.
