Chromeleon Instrument Configuration Help

We are running on Chromeleon 6.5 SP1 with a DX600 system with the following components, AS50 Autosampler and thermal compartment, AD25 Detector, GP50 pump, and a recently added CD20 detector. We have found that although we have both the AD25 and CD20 detector assigned to the same timebase, we cannot collect a signal using only one detector (eventhough the appropriate method settings are set to off for the other detector). In order to aquire a signal we have had to put one of the detectors in demo mode and leave the second detector active in the system. This problem only occurs when trying to collect a signal.

Is there a way to configure this instrument in 6.5 SP1 so that we do not need to put the other detector into demo mode when running? We would ideally like to leave the server configuration the same, but still have the ability to run either detector with the appropriate method settings configured.

Thank you

Hi,

You mean you can't turn detector acquisition setting on and off like tihis on your detectors?

0.000 ..
3DFIELD.AcqOn
UV_VIS_1.AcqOn

1.000 ..
3DFIELD.AcqOff

2.000 ..
UV_VIS_1.AcqOff

You should be able to start and stop acquisition for every channel and detector individually. I can do it with UV and MS using v6.8

what are the errors or warnings messages that you get when you do have both detectors set in the same time base?
especially the configuration report in the server configuration.

6.5 Sp1 is quite an old software version and from what i remeber it got at least to Sp 8-9 before discontinuation of the version, so upgrading should anyway be a good option for you

Fixed

Thanks for the responses, we figured out that the panel for the new device wasn't configured correctly.
