I really need some offline help. Offline since I do not want to break the forum's rules. Am thinking about purchasing a gcms system. I have an old hp5971 with 7673 autosampler but just can't keep things going and need more sensitivity. The system I have is a 5890(ii) gc with 5971 ms and a fid and npd detector. I would like a ms whose sensitivity rivals that of the agilent 5975c (with EI of course) and also a fid and ecd on the same instrument... plus autosampler. What cost (estimated) for a system such as this? Vendor feedback welcome. I need quick answers.

We recently purchased a 7890+5975 for ~85k. I would guess a similar system with an FID and NPD would be 105k+.

autosampler included no doubt
