Hi everybody...

Give me some advice about this problem.

I am using GC/MS of Shimadzu (QP2100)

Now i'm anlysing PAHs in soil samples. When i run "Tuning", the software give me a notification " Detector saturated". (MS detector)

I'm trying to solve this problem by changing solvent cut time and diluting the extract, in the manual user's guide, there is another way: changing the detector voltage, but i can't understand this parameter.

Hi,
your quality of soil samples may not be good,these may be more concentrated so you have to go on dilution untill you will get the normal reading; or if you are thinking to change the voltage parameter the help topic of a instrument can give us the complete idea.

If the detector saturated error occurs during tuning you probably have an air leak into the system.

Ron is right, my system leaks.
