Hello All. I am currently using split ration of 1:100 but my samples are giving small peaks. therefore decided to reduce the ratio to 1:50 which gave better responses. The calibration curve was generated using split ratio of 1:100. Am i correct in assuming the results need to be divided by 2 due to the differecne in split ratio used.

My preference was to use splitless but these results in a very big solvent

many thanks

Unfortunately you are incorrect. The split ratios that you set on the GC are only nominal values. You need to recalibrate with your current split ratio.

If you run splitless with the split (purge) opened at about 30s the solvent peak should not be a problem.
