I am new in this forum but I am starting with a difficult question...
We have in my lab an Sievers SCD 350B detector and we just purchased a 7890A as a replacment oven because the old Siemens Sichromat2 died...
We have coupled the two together but the problems are starting. Acoording to the manual of the SCD you need to have flow of 200mL/min H2 in the FID...the new generation of FIDs from Agilent do not support over 100mL/min....
The next problem is....there are no peaks when injecting a test solution although the ChemStation is recording a signal. Does this have to do with the H2 flow on the FID?
Kind regards from sunny Germany!
Andreas
