Good morning everybody,

I am new in this forum but I am starting with a difficult question...

We have in my lab an Sievers SCD 350B detector and we just purchased a 7890A as a replacment oven because the old Siemens Sichromat2 died... :(

We have coupled the two together but the problems are starting. Acoording to the manual of the SCD you need to have flow of 200mL/min H2 in the FID...the new generation of FIDs from Agilent do not support over 100mL/min.... How can the problem be solved? Has anybody made experience with that?

The next problem is....there are no peaks when injecting a test solution although the ChemStation is recording a signal. Does this have to do with the H2 flow on the FID?

Kind regards from sunny Germany!
