Newby needs software advise

I'm an HPLC newby and I'm attempting to put a system together.
I have an HP 1090 series II HPLC with a PE Nelson 970A interface. Our computer is running Windows XP. What software would you recommend to get us up and running? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Also, would anyone know of someone in the Akron Ohio area to assist in hooking up this equipment mess and making it operational?
