How to setup an aux UV detector in Chemstation?

Hi, I've got an Agilent 1100 hplc system with Chemstation (software is from 2006) on a Windows XP computer.
I'd like to install a UV detector that is not from Agilent but from perspective biosystems. It's got a serial Port and some analog connectors.
Is this possible at all? I can provide more details tomorrow when I'm back at work.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, setting up auxiliary detector(s) is possible with 1100 HPLC, we did that. We added ELSD detector, refractive index detector, conductivity detector to various 1100 units. What you need is an external A/D box Agilent 35900E, its 9-pin remote cable, and its signal cable (cables are either coax or plain leads to the detector). See https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R ... E&_sacat=0

You'd use your existing version of Chemstation, and just "add" the 35900E using "Configuration Editor".

Alternatively you can use the UIB-2 single channel analog box (p/n G1390B) with a new G1369C LAN card (p/n G1369C) for the LC. The UIB-2 then becomes an integral part of the LC stack and does not require a separate A/D license.

G3529A is the 35900E Interface box which require a separate A/D license for the LC stack.

Do not forget to order the correct cables for either A/D interface, ask you local Agilent representative.
