Chemstation Font

Does anyone know how to change the font in the chemstation data file before it prints? I want it to happen automatically. I have created a macro that lists all my data on the page, but it runs over about 3 or 4 columns. If I could set the font in my macro, then I could fix this problem.

Thanks.

I personally can't help any with this, but think you need to specify for others whether you want the font reduced in the Sequence Summary Report, Custom Report, etc.

We use here the Sequence Summary Report a lot, I'd like to see that smaller; right now we photocopy smaller and glue in our books.

I'm also interested in this.

I don't use custom reports. I am interested in the font on the txt files that chemstation generates. We use different versions of chemstation from aa to ea, on machines running win95 to xp and each one has a different font size. some fit the page , others don't.

I do notice that sometimes, after a fresh install of windows, that if the printer drivers are different than previous, the font will be "off".

All my instruments print to the same printer. I wonder if different versions of windows will have different drivers for the same printer?

Hi All.
change the font size in chemstation Rev.B.0x.0x:
Copy the folowing line into command line:

SetPrivateProfileString "pcs","reportfontsize","x","chemstation.ini"

Replace the x with the desired font size. 10 is the default. (do not remove the "-s)

For Rev.A.xx.0x:

SetPrivateProfileString "pcs","reportfontsize","x","win.ini"

Replace the x with the desired font size. 10 is the default.

I hope this helps.
The Hun.

Nope, neither works. I get an "Undefined Symbol:SetPrivateProfi" error message.

Also, would this change the font for everything? I just need to change the font in the txt file that my macro creates?

I typed pagesize in the command line. Pagesize is associated with the printer driver I use. I changed my driver, and the pagesize got bigger allowing more type on the page.
