After running the above method on a 20+ year old Waters system my management has found funds to replace it.
I have recieved quotes from the following manufacturers:

Waters
Agilent/Pickering
Shimadzu
Hitachi
Anyone out there that have used any of these systems for EPA 531.2?
I would like to speak or converse with you if you have experience with any of these systems.

Thanks in advance
John

I work with this method quite a few and installed Pickering post-column derivatisation instruments in my previous job. The key to a successful n-methylcarbamate application is the selectivity of the column and the reliability of the derivatisation. Pickering does a good job on that.
What you need is an up to date analytical HPLC instrument. The large column provided by Pickering is more forgiving to extra column volumes required for a complete derivatisation of the analytes. Small Fast LC columns are no option for post-column.
You might go for any of the listed manufacturers, in addition I would like to suggests Dionex UltiMate 3000 HPLC be to considered. You will see, instrument and software are awesome.

Here is the application note found in Dionex website which uses Pickerings post-column derivatization method on UltiMate-3000 HPLC system. http://www.dionex.com/en-us/webdocs/445 ... PN1935.pdf

Hope it will help.
