Chemstation LC 1100 Runtime error

Recently got an older Agilent LC 1100 (B.03.02) (2008) running well when a tragic error happened preventing the software from starting. When starting the software the message reads Chemmain.exe-.NET Framework Initialization Error. Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application..

I have re-installed Net Framework 2.0, Visual C++, yet the software does not start. The software came on the computer only, so I cant reinstall it.

I am not sure what I did or by accident to cause the error. Can I get advice on how to fix the error. I am new to the group as I am new to this instrument.

thanks in advance

As far I remember B.03 requires .NET 3.51

M$ as BASIC bytecode lovers created .NET which instead of solving DLL hell create new one - Assembly hell.

* Either make a new clean machine
* Or install .NET 3.51, enable Windows updates and internet connection and patiently wait for 3 days
* Or make a backup of your disk and try to install B.04.03 sp2 over existing installation. Servicepack is critical.

Hi Antok

thank you for your advice. As the LC 1100 system was running for about a month and the system is isolated, I would rather mend the program.

It's MY fault. When I was working, my pointy-haired boss always blamed me for any software snafus, even though I was barely computer-literate enough to use a mouse.

Apparently my pointy-haired boss felt that I touched the computer keypad buttons different from others in the department; was really weird...

I think yes and I totally agree with you. Sometimes I have such problems with software, in this case I ask https://write-my-essay.online/ for help and all starts being okay! :P
