Thank you Bruce, Nest and others, the melamine in milk is now running rather well. The mobile phase needs a little more acidic.

Just very recently, we have another melamine problem: in eggs, and also rooted from China.
Have you got any idea of sample prep for this matrix?
thanks

It's not yet clear how the melamine got into the eggs, if could have been through protein feed to poultry that was contaminated with melamine, they may have been feed time-expired milk that was contaminated with melamine, or it could be that they simply had a residue from the use of cyromazine on the farms.

I assume the major issues will be associated with the extractionstep.
Your best solution would be to ask the Hong Kong authorities for their method, but the following paper may also provide some assistance.

High performance liquid chromatographic determination of cyromazine
and its derivative melamine in poultry meats and eggs.

I'm doing some research about melamine analysis in eggs. I read this posts, but I didn't find that article anywhere. Not even the abstract. Could you send any information about this?
Thank you

I entered the article title "High Performance Liquid Chromatographic Determination of Cyromazine and Its Derivative Melamine in Poultry Meats and Eggs " into Google and searched.

The complete article ( not just the abstract ) was available free of charge as an English pdf from a web site shown as the first result.

I downloaded the full article in PDF just a little bit later of posting the latest message. Thank you.
