Old Thermo HPLC

My SN4000 already came with a DB9 female connector on the other end
of a cable connected inside to 8pin RJ45 "com" connector and I can see
the SN4000 sends 3 Bytes messages to the PC on 9600/8N1.

Hello emmet, heelo uzman,

still not able to get my stuff work.
UV1000 , SN4000 and XCalibur 2.0 SR2
my ideas :

1.) upgrade EPROM on digital pcb of UV1000 to version 3.13
(expecting behavior as UV2000)
2.) get a driver for UV1000 on XCalibur 2 SR2
3.) get another CDS to run SN4000/ UV1000 on Win XP
(e.g. ChromQuest 4.1)

any other possibilities ?
